The Nasrid Garden of Vélez de Benaudalla, a botanical garden located in Vélez de Benaudalla. El Castillo de los Ulloa in Vélez de Benaudalla is a fortress built during the Nasrid era that was later reformed by the Christians.
El Castillejo de los Guájares is a fortress located in the municipality of Los Guájares. Located on top of a hill the access is by a steep slope. The castle was built in the 13th century and has undergone numerous renovations and extensions throughout its history. It is currently in ruins.

Near Motril
The Castillo de Baños, a fort built around 1765 at the mouth of the Rambla de la Haza, on the seashore. Its main mission was to prevent the landings of Barbary pirates. It is currently surrounded by buildings and about 50 meters away from the coastline.
The Castle of Carchuna is located a few minutes from the towns of Carchuna and Calahonda, both belonging to Motril. It was built for the protection of the coast against the incursions of the Barbary pirates, ordered by Carlos III in 1777.
